TfL Star Competence Framework

The development of this part of the website was co-financed by Transport for London’s Project STAR which aims to provide a more coordinated approach to the development of staff in TfL Streets and in the London Boroughs.

As far as possible each training event has been cross-referenced to one of the eleven domain areas in the Transport for London Competence Framework for Streets developed by Project STAR. The full list of Competences is displayed below.

In the next phase of development the training courses will also be cross- referenced against the National Transport Qualifications developed by TVG and the TPS/Go-Skills National Occupational Standards.
