Again the survey showed widespread criticism of the old system, but no clear winner for a replacement outside the major cities. The Select Committee was very interested in how this could be approached and TPS needs to develop its views, even if there’s no easy answer. Do we need a formal structure? Are the areas which are relevant for transport planning the same as other areas of governance? How will LEPs fit with LTPs?
