This part of the web site provides details of training events currently on offer within the field of traffic and transport planning. The range of events can be very varied including one or two day training courses, evening professional meetings, site visits or even a part time evening course stretching over 20 weeks. This site provides you the opportunity to search for appropriate training and development opportunities (click on the highlighted header to sort information by type, location, duration or price). You can also use the site to check details about the course provider.
The development of this part of the website was co-financed by Transport for London’s Project STAR which aims to provide a more co-ordinated approach to the development of staff in TfL Streets and in the London Boroughs.

The course aims to provide an introduction to the basic structure of town planning in England and Wales, together with examples and discussion of current issues. It will assume that participants have some familiarity with the workings of local government, but little knowledge of the workings of planning in practice.
