The range of events can be very varied including one or two day training courses, evening professional meetings, site visits or even a part time evening course stretching over 20 weeks. The development of this part of the website was co-financed by Transport for London’s Project STAR which aims to provide a more co-ordinated approach to the development of staff in TfL Streets and in the London Boroughs.

They will also learn about the impacts air pollution has on health. This course will discuss a methodology for carrying out an effective health impact assessment of changes in urban air quality.

Upon completion of the course, delegates should: -  be familiar with the format and content of HSG224;  understand the greater emphasis placed on the client and designers, and how these duties are expected to be achieved;  be conversant with the revised formats of the health and safety plans and the health and safety file;  be familiar with the changes to the roles of the planning supervisor and principal contractor advised in the ACoP; and  understand the changes to the evaluation of competence and resources.
