This part of the web site provides details of training events currently on offer within the field of traffic and transport planning. The range of events can be very varied including one or two day training courses, evening professional meetings, site visits or even a part time evening course stretching over 20 weeks. You can also use the site to check details about the course provider.

The development of this part of the website was co-financed by Transport for London’s Project STAR which aims to provide a more co-ordinated approach to the development of staff in TfL Streets and in the London Boroughs.

An understanding of the properties and performance of asphalt and the design, construction and maintenance of asphalt pavements is a fundamental requirement for a highway engineer and those in associated disciplines. Undergraduate courses are generally unable to ncover these subjects in sufficient detail. The course, which is run in association with the Mineral Products Association, MPA, is led by experts from across the industry.
