Has 25 Years of Institutional Change Delivered a Better Deal in Transport?

At our event at Edinburgh Napier University David Quarmby, Chairman of the RAC Foundation and Napier’s Transport Research Institute, was seeking to determine whether 25 years of institutional change in Britain had delivered a better deal for transport, building on his experience in senior management roles in buses and rail.

Since the mid-1980’s Britain has seen the most radical changes in Europe in the regulatory and institutional arrangements for public transport –   bus, tram, metro and rail – which differ between London and the rest of Britain.
