National Pub Quiz - Keith's Crew take the South West!

Keith’s Crew (Arup) win the South West Event of the TPS National Quiz
In a packed function room at the Hatchet Inn, Bristol, eleven teams fought it out to be champions of the South West. It was Brian Lacey’s Parking Space (Halcrow) who were leading at the half-time interval and it was only in the seventh round on sport that Keith’s Crew pulled away with seven out of a possible ten points. They finished six points clear of Brian Lacey’s Parking Space at the end. They were only four points off the scores achieved by the joint national winners from East Midlands and North West.
Seven out of the eleven teams tied on six points in the transport round but the Buchaneers (Colin Buchanan) were deemed to be the transport boffins after coming closest on the question of the number of trains running in Britain each weekday (they answered 20,000 and it is 20,728 apparently).
For the record the full set of final scores were as follows:

• Slackademics (University of the West of England) = 33
• Quiz Tarrant (Peter Brett) = 33
• Gliders (Glide Consulting) = 31
• Luke’s Bitches (JMP) = 31
Many thanks for all those who turned up and participated enthusiastically, accepting with good grace a few technical glitches on the night. Thanks especially to James Purkiss (Halcrow) for doing a sterling job as quiz master without the assistance of a microphone.

Treasure Hunt Pub Crawl - King's Street, Bristol

Congratulations to the Colin Buchanan team (CBeebies) who won the Treasure Hunt Pub Crawl. It was a narrow victory with Key Transport just three points behind in second place and six other teams following closely on.
Will it be three in a row for CBeebies next year?
